The New York Islanders have sent rookie Josh Ho-Sang back to Bridgeport of the AHL.
After a bumpy start to his professional career with a few blunders including a demotion for missing a team meeting, Ho-Sang has begun to shown the skills that have made him a first round pick in 2014 picking up 4 assists in the 6 games he has played
With some saying Ho-Sang should be in the line up, it is clear there is division in the Islanders fan base. However, with the team needing to put up wins to help entice face of the franchise John Tavares to resign they are clearly looking for experience over the younger, riskier, more skilled player on their fourth line.
Ho-Sang, like many young players, has had no trouble converting his offensive abilities to the NHL but he need to keep working on his defensive game. He also needs to play top six minutes and there is no opportunity for him to do that currently with the Islanders.
Expect him to be first in line for recall due to injury.
