It is being reported that the Vegas Golden Knights are set to part ways with their prized off season signing, Vadim Shipachyov, as his agent has been given permission to speak to other teams regarding a trade.
Shipachyov was signed to a two year $9 million dollar contract this summer after a distinguished KHL and international career. He was expected to be the first line center as well as part of the first unit power play but he has struggled to adjust to the NHL style of play and has been sent to the AHL.
There are a few teams that could potentially use his services such as Montreal or the Florida Panthers where he would be reunited with his KHL linemate Evgeny Dadynov. Vegas would likely have to retain a large portion of his salary.
